One family, two generations

If you visit Made in Italy today, you might see our children playing between the tables, just as we did when we were growing up. It's a small reminder that this has never been just a restaurant. It's been part of our family's life for more than 30 years.

Since 1991, we've been bringing the flavours of Southern Italy to Chelsea, serving authentic Italian food with the warmth and generosity we grew up with. Long before Neapolitan pizza became a trend, we were baking ours in traditional wood-fired ovens, staying true to the recipes and traditions of home.

 

We learned our craft here, helping in the kitchen after school, running plates, clearing tables and watching familiar faces return year after year. Those moments taught us that great hospitality isn't just about the food. It's about making people feel at home.

Today, as the second generation, we continue to make fresh pasta by hand, prepare our dough every day and honour the authentic Italian cuisine that first brought our family to Chelsea. Because while recipes can be passed down, creating a place people want to come back to is something you earn every single day.
